In the dim past—October 2002 to be precise—Jon Titus reported that he typed "machine vision" into a search engine and got 150,000 hits. Type that same phrase into a search engine today, and you'll get millions of hits. Since you probably don't have time to visit them all, here are a few sites that really stand out.

The PASCAL project was established to create a Europe-wide distributed institute providing access to a large amount of information on topics related to pattern analysis, statistical modeling, and computational learning. This page contains 236 conference and workshop publications specifically about machine vision, many of which are available as PDF files for download. The list includes such topics as edge detection, image recognition, scene classification, and multivariate analysis.
