Project Organisation
The Executive of the PASCAL Network of Excellence is organised in four main bodies listed below.
More details of their membership and operation are given in the relevant documents listed below.
- Strategic Advisory Council - The Council is composed of senior scientific figures from outside the Network, representatives of national and international funding agencies and industry.
There are two major duties:
- To provide overall strategic direction and vision
- To monitor the equity and ethical stance of the network including an appeal procedure in the event of a dispute.
- Steering Committee - This is the core committee with overall responsibility for the network. It will comprise a Chair, the managers of each of the programmes, gender issues representative and the Administration Officer. It will have the following overall responsibilities:
- The main scientific programme
- Internal bidding system
- Overseeing the management of individual programmes and the co-ordination between programmes
- Liaison with other related projects and networks
- Network Project Management Office - This will be headed by the Administration Officer and include the Project Coordinator, the Knowledge Dissemination Programme Manager, representatives of the co-ordinating institution (Southampton) and other appropriate administrative staff.
- The Assembly - Each site has a representative on the Assembly, by default the individual empowered to sign on behalf of that partner.
