Computer Vision Internship at Xerox
The Computer Vision team of the Xerox Research Centre Europe (XRCE) is looking for an intern.
Description: The goal of this internship is to address the problem of visual recognition and localization when there is a large number of different visual categories. New representations and learning methods should be designed to handle the large intra-class variation and the small inter-class differences. These methods will focus on subtle class-specific differences. All the methods will be designed with scalability in mind, to be computationally and memory efficient, and to permit their applications to large volumes of data.
The successful candidate will be given the freedom and flexibility to explore his/her solutions, and will also have the guidance and support of experienced full-time Xerox researchers that work on this project. This internship is part of a collaboration with the Visual Geometry Group (VGG) of Oxford, that involves Andrea Vedaldi and Andrew Zisserman.
Requirements: Applicants should be enrolled in a graduate program (PhD program is a plus). They should have a strong knowledge in computer vision and in machine learning. They should have a good programming background in C/C++ and in Matlab.
Duration: 4 - 6 months
